Crazy Random Happenstance

Billy: So good... Hey, this is weird. I ordered one frozen yogurt and they gave me two. You don't happen to like frozen yogurt, do you?
Penny: I love it!
Billy: You're kidding? What a crazy random happenstance!

A Celebration and A concert!

Saturday was Charley’s birthday party. He was very excited and loved having everyone over to celebrate with him. The rain even held off for us (thank goodness!) and I think it has to do with Charley and I rubbing the necklace that Jeff’s grandmother gave me years ago and chanting “NO RAIN!” over and over again. Charley thought I was being silly, but damnit if it didn’t work! Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us! It truly means so much to us to have you guys enjoy spending time with C as much as we do. I left all the decorations up (because they are expensive and I am getting my money’s worth out of them) and Charley woke up this morning and said “thank you for my decorations, Mommy. I love them!” And now they will stay up even longer! Also a big thanks to everyone who was brave enough to eat my cake! I slaved over that thing and was just happy it didn’t turn out to be a sloppy mess. Charley’s face made it all worth the stress of it the first time he looked at it. Which means he will probably talk me into doing it again next year too.

Dennis and I went to see She&Him last night at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. It was an interesting, very fun evening! Zooey Deschanel is adorable and cute and so talented! Her voice is amazing live and we both loved the show! We did not however, love the crowd. In fact, as soon as it ended, I stated that it was probably one of the most annoying crowds I have ever been a part of. We almost witnessed a fight, a dude almost passed out, there was a girl clearly trying her hardest to sing OVER Zooey and my all time favorite at any concert; the ill timed clap-along that people do. The worst was the girl who stood RIGHT in front of me as the show started. RIGHT in front of me, as in, my nose was in her rats nest hair. Yes, it literally looked like a rats nest. I don’t know what look she was going for, but it was wrong. Also, she had just had it permed. I know this because my nose was in her hair and being a girl who used to get perms ALL the time, I remember that chemical smell all too well. Blech! They also had crazy camera/phone/recording device police lurking throughout the crowd. I have never been to a concert where they were so strict about it. I saw at least 3 people get yelled at for it as the show went on and Zooey Deschanel even commented on the flashes and instructed people how to turn them off. Haha.

Also, we noticed there was no smoking. Thumbs up to that no smoking ban they just passed! But let me tell you, that gives way to LOTS of other unpleasant smells. LOTS. Every 30 seconds there would be a new smell to decipher, but hey, at least we didn’t smell like cigarettes when we went home!

Tomorrow is the season finale of Glee and I am crazy excited for it!! Also, True Blood starts this Sunday. To say I can't wait is an understatement. I'm really, really excited for it. Also, Eclipse is only 3 weeks away. Yippee!
